About Aftercare
Shining Mountain aftercare is available for children ages 3 through grade 6 on all regularly scheduled school days. Check the school calendar to see if aftercare is available on specific half days or on school holidays.

3:00 to 5:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday
2:00 to 5:30 pm on Thursday
Aftercare is located in the Kindergarten

Aftercare Rates
Prepaid scheduled monthly rate: $6.50 per hour
Scheduled in writing and pre-paid at the end of the preceding month for the upcoming month. Monthly aftercare sign-up sheets are available in the school office and need to be submitted with pre-payment.
Daily drop-in rate: $7.50 per hour
May be scheduled on the same day, space permitting. We ask that you call in to schedule as soon as you are aware of the need for drop-in aftercare. This will help us in planning and scheduling supervision. Licensing limits us to accepting a maximum of 15 students per day.

Pre-Paid Aftercare Credit
Credit for pre-paid aftercare is given:

• if your child stays home from school due to illness
• if your child is sent home from school due to illness

Billing
Daily drop-in aftercare will be billed and mailed. Aftercare payments must be received in the office by the 20th of the month following use for students to continue in the program.

Please note: the MINIMUM daily use of aftercare, for billing purposes, is ONE HOUR and is billed in 15 minute increments thereafter.

Family Rate
A family rate is available for each hour that two or more children from the same household attend aftercare simultaneously. During these times, parents will be charged for one child only. The hourly family rate will depend on the rate charged at the time of scheduling.

Late Pick-Up
Aftercare ends promptly at 5:30 pm on every regular school day.

There is a late charge of $1.50 for every 5 minutes after 5:30 pm.
